WOW...

...What a weekend?!?!

We had an absolute BLAST this past weekend. I think Maddy is glad to have things back to "normal", but I know that she had a good time!! We had all kinds of family come to town and lots of friends over to our house for Maddy's baptism and her first birthday party. They say "a picture is worth a thousand words", so I think rather than give details of the weekend with words, I'll just share some of the pictures I have. I must give credit where credit is due, however, these are the pictures from my mom's camera, so all credit goes to my parents for the great photos! Thanks for taking these and sharing them. It was nice to get to experience the weekend live, and not from behind the camera lens!!

Here goes nothing...

Maddy got lots of nice gifts for her baptism before the ceremony. I believe that every gift had some significant meaning for her.

A little Mommy Maddy moment before the ceremony started:

Peek-A-Boo!! Everyone want to take your picture, so PLEASE smile big!! :)

Maddy with the deacon, Bryan, me and her godparents (Chris & Breezy):

Maddy with the Williams side of the family that was present:

Maddy with the Shore side of the family that was present:

Maddy with Bryan, me, Chris & April:

Maddy showing me the bible she got from her great granny:

Then, on Sunday Maddy invited her friends over for her birthday party:

My mom and I decorated the cakes. Sorry, Mom, there weren't any pictures that I thought you'd want me to post of you decorating the cake...

This is Maddy's "smash cake" on the plate that I painted for her:

The cake that everyone else enjoyed:

Bryan's parents found a stuffed Chocolate Lab puppy that looks just like Nash. Maddy instantly fell in love with it!!

The banner on the front of the house:

Here comes the birthday princess!!!!

I think that everyone had a nice time just chatting and the kids playing:

One of the many tea sets that Maddy received. It was pretty funny. She got 3, and by the 3rd one, the gift giver mentioned that the gift receipt was in the package before we even opened it. Maddy will be the best outfitted tea party host in Abilene!! :)

Digging deep!!

Maddy had lots of good little helpers to open her gifts:

Thank you, everyone!! YAY!! :)

Maddy says, "Why is everyone singing and looking at me?? I'm so confused!!"

Here she goes:

YAY!! Check out that mess!!! :)

At the end of the day, poor Maddy was WIPED out!! She took a little siesta on Grandpop's shoulder:

Maddy is still trying to catch up from all the excitement of this past weekend, as am I. Thanks to everyone who made this weekend such a success!! This great little girl only gets one baptism and first birthday!!

Love you guys!! :)

Thank you for such a fun visit. We had a GREAT time. The photos turned out really great. (I'm sure it was due to the subject matter more than the photographer!!) I was especially moved by the little lamb. That was a really thoughtful gift for our new little "Lamb of God"...... She's a beauty and I think she had a weekend to remember!!! Can't wait till our next visit. I just wish it was sooner, rather than later...... Love to you all!!

You have had close to a month of on the road and visitors. I hope you can get back to the norm. I also wonder if Grandmom and Grandpop are having Maddy withdraw.
