All ready to head to story time at the library on her birthday!! Her shirt says "Miss October"! :)
Story time this past week was all about fire safety. Some of the firemen came out to read the stories and show the kids the firetruck.
This fireman got in his turnout gear so the kids could see what they will look like if they are ever in a fire. Maddy wasn't too keen on getting too close. Understandably so...
Then, we got to meet Sparky the Firedog. Maddy still wasn't too sure:

Needless to say, we had a very Dora birthday here!! Maddy was in HEAVEN!!! I'd say that Maddy had a very successful 2nd birthday! I know that we had fun! These special days just get more and more fun the older she gets!! :) Now, I must get some sleep before Dora's biggest fan is ready to face the day!! :)

Happy Birthday Maddy! It looks like you had a really neat 2nd birthday. Pretty soon you will celebrate Amelia's birthday! You're such a sweet little girl.
It looks like you all had a great time. Sorry we couldn't be there this year! :( I hope she liked the lunch box. I thought that could be her special thing when you travel! Love you guys and see you in about 6 weeks!
Great pictures!! I ALMOST feel like I was there..... but no so much.... :( Can't wait to be there in 11 days!!! The picture of Maddy eating her breakfast makes her look SO OLD!!! I can't believe that baby is growing up so fast!!

First of all, Happy Birthday Maddy!
Secondly, Kate you look wonderful. You're all belly. I must say you look cool in your jeans & cool maternity top. The maternity clothes I wore was a far cry from the stuff you girls wear now. Lastly, if I were Maddy, I'd be unsure if everyone was SIGNING Happy Birthday to me! Why didn't they SING? Just yankin' your chain. Have a safe delivery sweetheart.
Thanks everyone, and you're right... SIGNING Happy Birthday would be a bit confusing!! LoL. We'll chalk that up to sharing a brain with Amelia at the moment. I only get a couple more weeks to use that excuse!! :)

Maddy is really a cutie! Hope she really enjoyed her big day. and you are quite right about the special days getting better. This year will be a very fun Christmas for all of you. Keep taking pictures and saving the memories...
